Airports
We recommend flying into John Wayne/Santa Ana/Orange County airport (SNA), which is located conveniently near UC Irvine campus, and often local hotels will offer complimentary shuttles to and from it.
Lodging
While there are a variety of hotels to choose from, we recommend The Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach - ask for the UCI rate of $128/night + tax =~ $144/night. It is located near the beach, with complimentary shuttles to/from SNA airport and local attractions such as Balboa Island and Fashion Island. Please note, however, that this hotel does not provide a complimentary shuttle to UCI campus.
