John earned an A.B. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986 and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1992. From 1992-2014 he was Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2014, he is Professor of Economics at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). John's research interests are in behavioral and experimental economics, game theory, finance and macroeconomics. He is Co-Editor of the journal Experimental Economics and Co-Director of UCI's Experimental Social Science Laboratory (ESSL).
