Mentees receive tailored attention designed to prepare them for a career in law as well as preparation and guidance through the law school application process. Program participants will learn from experienced legal professionals about the practice of law, selecting and applying for law school, preparing for the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT), anticipating the first-year law school experience, understanding the day-to-day practice of law, and appreciating the realities of a career in law.
Admission into the program is competitive. Selected undergraduates will be paired with attorneys according to the student’s interests and the attorney’s area of practice. Currently, the program is available to students through recommendation by faculty and staff. Students who wish to participate in the program should speak with their School of Social Sciences faculty member to discuss opportunities to join.
