  • the ancient art of gathering in circle dialogues
  • how circles use internet technology to connect with each other and honor the stories of women from other cultures in other countries
Participate in a tree planting ceremony in dedication of the 2006 UCI Citizen Peacebuilding Prize Honoree,
Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Wangari Maathai of Kenya.

Turning research into action for a safer world, the UCI Center for Citizen Peacebuilding helps citizens seek realistic ways to improve human conditions locally and globally, supporting citizen participation in public peace processes.  CCPB activities aim to prevent violent conflict and, if violence occurs, to promote reconciliation and sustainable peace.

PEACE X PEACE connects Sister Circles in the United States to Sister Circles in Africa, India, the Middle East and South America for direct friendship and peacebuilding.
