Jeanett Castellanos, Ph.D.
A lecturer at UCI, Dr. Castellanos is the faculty supervisor for the SSARC. Dr. Castellanos, affectionately known to her students as "Dr. C.," recreated the SSARC under her theory of the Five Pillars of Education. Each pillarâ€"research, leadership, practical experience, community service, and academicsâ€"serves as the basis for all SSARC programming. An alumna of UCI, she received her masters training in counseling psychology and PhD in Higher Education from Washington State University. She is also the instructor for the internship and field studies classes that are offered through the SSARC.

Andrew Gonzalez, M.A.
Andrew has served as the SSARC Associate Director since 2005 after completing a one year position as the director of English Language Studies in Dafeng, China. He currently coordinates the many activities and events of the SSARC and also serves as a lecturer for the department's Professional Internship course and the director/advisor for programs in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Community Service and Leadership, Transfer Students, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Andrew also created the SSARC Leadership Development Program in 2008, along with various other developmental programs within the SSARC. A 2002 alumni of UCI, Andrew received his bachelors in Psychology and Social Behavior and completed his master's degree in psychology at the University of Chicago. He is currently completing a PhD program at Claremont Graduate University in Industrial Organizational Psychology. |
Nicholas Rael: Co-Chair
Nicholas is a 5th year double major in Cognitive Psychology/Social Ecology. After college his plans are to attain a Master's in I/O Psychology. With this degree he wants to get a job working for a consulting firm. The areas in psychology that Nicholas finds most interesting are development and motivation.
Francisco L. Martinez: Co-Chair
Francisco is on his 5th year as an undergraduate at UC Irvine majoring in Psychology, Sociology and a minor in management. My future aspirations is to apply the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology in either Consulting or Human Resources. I belong to other organizations on campus such as the Undergraduate Business Association and SAGE Scholars. I recently completed a rigorous month long research program during the summer called Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP) where I did a research proposal on Factors That Affect Latino Stress Levels in the Workplace.
Nicole King: Executive Administrator
Nicole is a fourth-year student with a major in cognitive sciences and a minor in education. She plans to focus her post-baccalaureate studies on either I/O psychology or related fields in HR, and she hopes to attend grad school after working first. Currently, she works at Helpmates Staffing Services as a marketing research specialist. She interned over the summer as a research assistant at an education nonprofit organization called Project, tutored elementary students in basic robotics at Robotis KidsLab, and continues to work at Jamba Juice on campus. She is also considering traveling to Japan after graduation to teach English. Nicole loves snowboarding, and she enjoys playing piano, guitar, flute, taiko drums, and StarCraft 2.
Ariana Martinez: Program Development Manager
Ariana is a fourth-year Psychology (Cognitive Sciences) major. This is her third year being a part of SIOP. During school breaks for the past four years she has been working in Human Resources for the Department of Veterans Affairs Northern California Healthcare System. She enjoys helping out in the community, spending time with her family, and traveling. She plans to pursue a graduate degree related to the field of psychology after graduating from UCI this year.
Jimin Zheng: Graduate School Coordinator/Research Chair
Jimin is a fourth year double major in Psychology and Business Administration. In addition to being a board member of SIOP, he also serves as Vice President for UCI's chapter of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Outside of school, Jimin has internships with SM&A, a government procurement consulting company, and GfK Automotive, the automotive division of the fourth largest market research firm in the world. He also works part-time at Pinkberry a popular frozen yogurt shop.
Tallin Muskat: Member Recruitment/Development Chair
Tallin Muskat is a third year undergraduate student pursing a major in Psychology and Social Behavior and a minor in Education. In addition to being involved in SIOP, Tallin is an active member of UCI Women's Ultimate Frisbee club team, the Grass Ninjas. When she isn't chasing after a plastic disc, Tallin is most likely volunteering. She is a member of the Community Service and Leadership Program (CSLP), Golden Key International Honor Society, and Circle K. She also volunteers at the Irvine Animal Care Center and the American Heart Association. In her down time, Tallin loves reading, writing, long bike rides, and eating. Yep, especially eating. She is also a big quote junkie. One of her favorite quotes is "Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart."
Sevan Kalaydjian: Planning and Events Coordinator/Finance Chair
I am a fourth year student majoring in Cognitive Psychology. In my free time I love to cook, make people laugh, and paint! I thought I wanted to be a clinician until I was introduced to the world of business psychology. Management classes along with SIOP have helped me decide that I will be going into the field of Industrial Organizational Psychology in graduate school next year.
Brandon Lai: Public Relations Chair
Brandon is a third year Psychology and Social Behavior major, with a minor in Management. After college he wants to work a few years in a large corporation before eventually getting a graduate degree, either in IO Psychology or an MBA. Outside of school his favorite sports include basketball and golf.
