The Social Dynamics and Complexity group is a degree-granting subgroup within the Mathematical Behavioral Sciences Ph.D. program at UC Irvine. It was founded in 2004 in order to advance Anthropology as a scientific discipline, addressing biological, cognitive, social and cultural aspects of human societies with a special focus on dynamic and evolutionary processes.
