"Yes Mr. President! Thinking in New Ways About Just War"

O'Driscoll joined the University of Glasgow School of Social and Political Sciences in 2007 as a lecturer in international politics. He completed his Ph.D. in 2006 at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Prior to this he studied at the University of Limerick, Dalhousie University, and the University of Oslo. His first book, The Renegotiation of the Just War Tradition has recently been published by Palgrave-Macmillan (New York, 2008). He has also published a number of articles on the ethics of war, contributing to The Cambridge Review of International Affairs, International Relations, the Journal of Military Ethics, the Journal of International Political Theory, and Millennium: Journal of International Studies. He has recently been appointed as the Snell Exchange Fellow to Balliol College, Oxford for Trinity Term 2010. While at Balliol, he will conduct research on his current project which examines Ancient Greek and Roman pre-cursors to the just war tradition.
