Following acceptance into the Law Forum (see prerequisites), students complete 7 courses to earn a certificate of program completion.

Four of these courses are Required Courses (enrollment priority available; see further details):

  • Advocacy

  • Law in the 21st Century

  • Law & Society (or qualifying paper substitute)

  • Law Forum Seminar II (Senior Seminar)

The remaining three upper division law courses can be selected from a broad list of Qualifying Electives (see details).

Students who have completed all 7 of these courses (or approved substitutes) receive a certificate of program completion.  Many members of the UCI faculty, legal community and UCI alumni join us each spring to honor our new certificants, and to congratulate recipients of the Law Forum Distinguished Service Award and Outstanding Legal Scholar Award.
