As a former faculty member and dean of social sciences, Christian Werner and his partner, Kathy Alberti, a long time staff member in the school's graduate office, saw the difference additional funding can have on a student's ability to focus on academics and research. Through Christian's estate, they've donated more than $4.4 million to support fellowships in the school's top-ranked graduate programs.
