LOS AMIGOS

One of Los Amigos's goals is to enhance the relationship between Orange County's Chicano/Latino population and UCI's faculty, administrative staff and students.  The groups' membership represents Orange County educators, business professionals, public officials, and community leaders, and Los Amigos holds weekly Wednesday breakfast meetings at which UCI faculty, administrators, staff, and students participate in discussions regarding Chicano/Latino matters for Orange County.  Additional information is available from Amín David, Chairman of Los Amigos at (949) 758-8090.


LOS PADRINOS  y LAS MADRINAS

Founded by the late Wally Davis, former chairman of the Mexican-American Bar Association, and Fred Flores (pictured at right with wife, Bonnie), long-time community leader and former president of the Parents Association of UCI, Los Padrinos y Las Madrinas supports and participates in campus programs and promotes close campus-community relations.  One primary goal is to collaborate with students, faculty and staff to improve the status of Chicano/Latinos at UCI.  Further information is available from Galal Kernahan at the following email address:  Galal@comline.com.
