I am a professor of sociology at the University of California, Irvine.
I do research on globalization, political participation, education, environmentalism, economic growth, economic inequality, and other things.
I teach classes on globalization, political sociology, sociology of education, institutional theory, and lots of courses on statistics for social scientists.
I am a member of the Irvine Comparative Sociology Workshop (ICSW).
